Are you excited for the autumn races but feeling a little lost about where to start after a long time training alone?
Maybe you're keen to hit a PB, run faster or for longer? Or have you experienced pain in your knees, shins or heels in the last 18 months and are unsure how to manage that?
Finally the big question on everyones lips is, "am I ready?"
As training starts in earnest for the big day – get yourself off on the right foot and structure your training accordingly. Aiming for a PB or simply aiming to make it round in one piece, get the advice from our experts to ensure that all that time and effort is not wasted on race day. Our lactate threshold testing can be the perfect tool to set your Heart rate zones and find out how to shave those crucial few minutes.
Keeping yourself injury free is a privilege, not a right, and training for a 10k, half marathon, marathon or Ultra will push your body’s ability to stay healthy. Your injury history, biomechanics, strengths and weakness are specific to you and understanding why your training seems to grind to a halt after a few weeks of running should be your first step to injury free training time. After all, the worst training session is the one you miss because you are injured!
We all live busy lives and maximising the efficiency of our training should be a key priority. For example, knowing how a gym session can help you achieve your goal on race day can be a real game changer.
We are hosting a Running Workshop focusing on how to prepare for a running event. You will meet our fitness and injury specialists and learn about training plans, solving injury riddles and hitting the ground running, now that we can.
Give yourself all the tools to cross that finish line, feeling great!
This is an in-person event and will be held at Pure Sports Medicine's Chancery Lane Clinic.
In order to be in line with the government guidelines this event is limited to 6 spaces so that we can maintain social distancing at all times. We ask that all participants wear a face mask during the event.
In all of our 7 London based clinics we provide the highest level of clinical safety and are Care Quality Commission(CQC) regulated. View our full Patient Safety Guide here.
