Pilates Classes

Pilates can increase core strength, range of movement and reduce the likelihood of injury, allowing you to get more out of your fitness training, no matter what your goals are.

It incorporates breathing, postural work, strengthening and flexibility which can bring a relief to pain and bring ease of movement to daily life. Our classes are unique, effective and enjoyable.

All exercises can be modified to suit your individual needs to positively contribute to your health & well-being.

Class Details

These dynamic Pilates classes are equipment-based class using the Reformer, Combo-Chair, Baby-Arc & other small equipment, focusing mainly on strength, skill, quality of movement and flexibility. During the circuit designed by your Instructor, the exercises will encourage you to access full range of movement and build strength and control, aiming to restore mobility and help you to feel more free and flexible. These classes are ideal for people who want to include Pilates as part of their fitness routine or at end stage rehabilitation.

These entry level Pilates classes are gentle but thorough and appropriate for all, whether you are either recovering from injury or looking to start Pilates for the first time.

 

Your instructor will guide you through breathing and stretching exercises, helping to improve spine segmental control and stability and your hip and shoulder range of movement. They will show you how to safely weight bear through your upper limbs, increasing your wrists and feet strength. All with the focus of achieving core strength and releasing stress and tension.

This class is suitable for those looking for an intermediate level class, with a few advanced options and progressions for those who would like to challenge themselves a bit more.
However, if you are a beginner or recovering from an injury Jessica is able to offer lighter options where needed to accommodate for your individual needs. Similarly if you are pregnant or post-partum, this is a great opportunity for mothers and birth-givers to safely return to exercise.

Jessica Zaayman

This virtual Pilates class focuses on improving muscle strength, bone health, spine and joint mobility and stability through weight bearing and balance-based exercises.
These classes aim to slow bone loss rate by increasing spinal extensors strength and spinal mobility, postural awareness and local postural muscle endurance, and upper and lower limb muscle strength, as well as improving balance and load bearing ability.
Follow the Royal Osteoporosis Society guide lines, our instructors will help to increase your confidence in exercising and offer education around safe and effective exercise for bone health.
