Led by Dr James Noake, Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine, the clinic combines expert clinical evaluation, review of previous imaging and investigations, focused diagnostic ultrasound where appropriate, and practical management planning.
Some injuries and musculoskeletal symptoms are straightforward. Others are not. When pain persists, investigations are inconclusive, treatment has plateaued, or your symptoms do not fit neatly into a single diagnosis, a more detailed assessment may be needed.
The Complex Musculoskeletal Injury Clinic is designed for people who need specialist input into challenging presentations. The aim is to understand the full clinical picture, identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms, and provide a clear, practical plan for next steps.
Patients may attend directly or be referred by a physiotherapist, GP, consultant, coach or other healthcare professional.
