Like many Pilates instructors, my route into teaching Pilates came after experiencing the benefits of the Pilates, and after an earlier career of working in Construction, Film,
Design & Architecture.
Although never one for team sports when young (except rugby) I have always enjoyed
“keeping fit and healthy” from jogging and cycling and weight training and later
discovering Capoeira. As the years went by with injuries and pain, I found Pilates has
helped me to keep off the sick bed and stay active into my 60’s where I still enjoy
weight training and cycling but now long distant walking rather than jogging.
I have been very lucky to find a vocation where each day I can make a positive
difference to the clients I work with and in turn have my skill set and knowledge
expanded by working with those clients.
Whether working with the modern Modified approach or with the purist Classical
routines the end goal is the same – to enable each client to find freedom of movement
and be the best that they can be.
