Whatever your goals may be for your health and wellness, our S&C coaches are here to help. They can support you with focused, personalised plans and advice to supercharge your training and recovery, but, as a key part of our multidisciplinary team, they are uniquely positioned to work alongside our clinical teams to enhance your rehab from injury.
Your first session with one of our strength & conditioning coaches will include a review of your previous training history and injury status. They will carry out a movement assessment to identify any joint restrictions, areas of muscle weakness or over-activity. Fitness testing may also be used to set appropriate goals.
Your S&C coach will take your current work, life and training pattern into account and use your desired outcome and training goals to develop a personalised programme. At subsequent sessions, the S&C coach will take you through your unique programme, reviewing and refining it as you progress.
All of our S&C coaches are degree-qualified, and either accredited or working towards accreditation with a national strength and conditioning association.
Learn more about Strength & Conditioning
Strength & Conditioning Coach, Andy Page explains how everyone can benefit from weekly strength training.
If you are an endurance athlete who wants to perform to a higher level then Strength & Conditioning training is vital. It will not only mean you can be more successful at your sport, it will minimise your chances of picking up an injury and disrupting your training schedule.
Time out from your usual program will have an effect on your body and knowing how to adapt your training can be the difference between getting stronger and injury. Learn about the effects of detraining and get the info you need to get back to where you want to be, injury-free.
Knowing how to achieve your training goals can be confusing. Increasing training load safely is often neglected with the focus being ‘feeling as tired as possible’. We explain how executing the right increase in your training can make all the difference.
