I’ve never really been fussed about exercising in a gym, and although running on a treadmill is okay, for me I find it a bit dull! Personally, getting outside, travelling and playing football are the only real ways for me to combat all the excesses of London life!

I used to play football at a pretty decent level, and even though I just play casually now, I still absolutely adore the game. So, I was devastated when I heard my knee pop last Summer during a Tuesday night game.

I was referred to Pure Sports Medicine through my company health insurance, and from the off I was impressed. All of the receptionists were lovely, and the clinic looks more like a day spa or health retreat than a clinic.

I was recommended to see Physiotherapist James Roberts; once he had initially examined me, he diagnosed the injury correctly (I tore the cartilage in my left knee), gave me the exact time scales for recuperation and a detailed treatment plan. Such was my confidence in him that I was happy to trust in him and his diagnosis.

James was right, and it took just over 3 months for me to be back playing football again without complaint. During that time, I was in and out of Pure, seeing James regularly, whilst also using the gym space and facilities for my rehab work. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer, more hassle free process.

I am so pleased to have my active life back!
