Introduction
I am a specialist musculoskeletal and sports Podiatrist, with an interest in endurance sports. My clinical focus is on the biomechanical assessment and management of sports and musculoskeletal injury utilising clinical assessment and the latest in gait analysis and orthotic scanning technology. I have worked with athletes of all levels from beginners to professionals.

Matthew is a Podiatrist with extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports podiatry, specialising in elite sports injuries and multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
I qualified from the University of Southampton with a first class honours degree in Podiatry. Following graduation, I completed an internship with Versus Arthritis at the University of Leeds investigating triathlon injury.
I have since completed a Masters in Clinical and Health research focused on footwear, a certification in injection therapy, and Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine from the Royal College of Podiatry and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
I have worked in the NHS, private practice and academia in the UK and Canada.
I have an interest in endurance sports, particularly trail running and cycling. My clinical focus is the biomechanical management of lower limb injury, utilising advanced gait analysis and foot orthoses as part of a multidisciplinary team.
I keep up to date with running footwear and I have visited the Salomon R&D department in Annecy, France. I have worked with the Elite athletes at the London Marathon, and have been the Deputy Podiatry lead for a number of years at the London Marathon and Action Challenge Ultra Marathon Events.
I have worked with premiership footballers, professional cyclists, figure skaters, runners, golfers and basketball players.
I have run marathons, ultra marathons and an Ironman 70.3. I hold ski instructor qualifications, and prior to becoming a Podiatrist worked as a ski instructor and boot fitter.
