Introduction
Dr. David Whittaker is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine with an interest in acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems.Based in the St Paul’s clinic, he works closely with colleagues to deliver appropriate investigations and treatment, and has extensive experience as a doctor within elite sport including tennis, football and Olympic disciplines.

Dr. Whittaker is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine with extensive experience in managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems.
Dr Whittaker is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine who has extensive experience managing acute and chronic problems. He is also qualified in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections.
David completed his consultant training programme in London which included working at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health. He was awarded the Donald McLeod Medal as the highest performing candidate during examinations for membership of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, and has worked across a variety of elite sporting domains, including with high level footballers, Olympians and Paralympians.
David has also worked as a doctor at the Lawn Tennis Association and has a particular interest in musculoskeletal problems associated with racquet sports. Outside of Pure Sports Medicine, David works at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and is a passionate runner, tennis and squash player.
