Introduction
Dr Conor Bentley is a Registered Dietitian, Performance Nutritionist and researcher with over 20 years experience spanning the NHS, elite sport, Defence and academia.His career portfolio includes work with Saracens RFC, professional and international athletes, and UK Armed Forces personnel. He has also held specialist nutrition and research roles at the Institute of Naval Medicine and the National Institute for Health and Care Research, alongside an academic portfolio of more than 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Conor combines clinical expertise, high-performance practice and research to provide precise, evidence-led nutrition support
Conor Bentley is a Registered Dietitian, Performance Nutritionist and researcher with 20 years’ experience across elite sport, Defence, the NHS and academia.
He has led nutrition provision for Saracens RFC and supported professional and international athletes across rugby, football and athletics, as well as UK Armed Forces personnel in the UK and on operational deployments. His specialist work at the Institute of Naval Medicine spanned military nutrition, performance and rehabilitation and received formal recognition from the Surgeon General.
Conor completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham, investigating nutrition following major injury. His research spans trauma, surgery, rehabilitation, concussion and human performance, and he has authored or co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has also contributed to research involving the Rugby Football Union, United Rugby Championship, Rugby Football League and England and Wales Cricket Board.
His clinical experience includes complex weight management, metabolic health, rehabilitation and injury recovery, giving him extensive experience working with individuals whose nutritional needs extend beyond performance alone.
Conor’s approach focuses on identifying the factors most likely to make a meaningful difference and translating them into practical strategies to improve health, body composition, recovery, physical capability and performance.
Conor has extensive experience in performance and clinical nutrition, particularly where injury, rehabilitation, body composition and metabolic health intersect. He works with athletes, active individuals and those with complex clinical needs, using evidence-led nutrition strategies to support recovery, preserve physical capacity and optimise long-term health and performance.
