Dan is an experienced Sport and Exercise Medicine Consultant with a passion for delivering elite patient focussed care to all of his patients, whether they are a weekend park runner or Olympic gold medal winner. He is passionate about sport and exercise and returning everyone to a full level of activity.

Dan graduated from St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London with a clear ambition to become a Sports Medicine Consultant. His training includes experience at several of London’s leading hospitals and completion of specialist sports medicine training within the London Deanery. He is also a qualified General Practitioner, having completed his GP training in Surrey. His expertise has been further enriched by time spent studying sports medicine in South Africa and Australia.

Dan currently practices at Pure Sports Medicine’s Bank clinic and works with the UK Sports Institute in Bath, where he provides medical care for Olympic athletes. In addition, he is actively involved in elite rugby, serving as both a pitch-side doctor and an independent match day doctor, specialising in concussion assessments, for Premiership and international rugby teams.

His experience spans a broad spectrum of elite-level sports, including professional and international rugby (men’s and women’s), professional football, and work with the GB Hockey teams. He is the Chief Medical Officer for British Skeleton Bobsleigh and sits on the international medical committee for bobsleigh and skeleton sports.

Dan has a particular interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections. He is passionate about helping patients recover through evidence-based care. With a strong network of expert colleagues, including surgeons, physiotherapists, podiatrists, and strength and conditioning coaches – he is committed to delivering the highest level of care to all his patients.

Whether supporting a patient returning to a walk in the park or preparing for an Ironman race, Dan is dedicated to helping individuals regain their function and achieve their goals. Outside of work, he enjoys running, playing hockey, and spending quality time with his family.
