Farhan has extensive experience in managing musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and exercise-related medical issues.
Farhan completed his Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM) Higher Specialist training in the London Deanery at leading institutions, including Imperial College, University College London Hospitals, and Barts NHS Trusts, following his training in General Practice in Warwickshire. He holds a PG Diploma in Sport Medicine, Exercise and Health from UCL and achieved a Distinction in a PG Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography.
Currently, Farhan is a Club Doctor for Brentford Football Club, where he manages professional elite footballers, from youth Academy teams to first-team players in the Premier League. He also works for the Football Association (FA) as a team doctor for England Men’s Pathway development squad teams.
Serving as the President of the Sport & Exercise Medicine section at the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine, he leads the council in organising and delivering world-class conferences, including the High Performance Sports Conference and Musculoskeletal Examination Masterclass Conferences.
Teaching and education in Sport & Exercise Medicine are also a passion of his. Farhan is a visiting lecturer at UCL and Barts for their Masters in Sports Medicine programmes, and he has led a special study module in SEM at the University of Birmingham. He is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences.
Additionally, Farhan has contributed to the curriculum for the FSEM Diploma in Exercise Medicine and conducted research in Physical Activity, presenting his findings internationally.
At Pure Sports Medicine, Farhan is committed to providing a patient-focused, holistic approach to musculoskeletal care, offering a one-stop service that ensures accurate diagnosis and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal, sports, and exercise-related conditions for individuals of all ages.
Over the years, Farhan has treated athletes across various elite sports, including football, tennis, rugby, swimming, canoeing, and athletics.
He has worked at the LTA, EIS multisport clinics, managing Team GB athletes at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH), as well as at the National NHS Dance Injury Clinic, treating professional dancers.
