Jesse Matthews

My clinical expertise spans a broad range of conditions, from acute traumatic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic, long-standing joint and tendon conditions.

I graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2019 and began my career working with children with cerebral palsy and congenital upper limb conditions, using mCIMT and bimanual training to restore hand function in daily activities.

Driven to specialise further, I transitioned into private hand therapy practice in New Zealand while completing postgraduate studies in Hand and Upper Limb Therapy. I have also worked with Netball North Harbour in Auckland, managing acute injuries and supporting athletes to return to the court using customised sports splinting and taping.

I enjoy staying up to date with current research to ensure my clients receive the best possible care. Now based in London, I am excited to continue developing my expertise in hand and upper limb rehabilitation while working closely with leading hand surgeons.

Outside the clinic, I am a competitive squash player, recreational rock climber and guitarist, which gives me a personal understanding of how important hand and upper limb health is for staying active and pursuing the activities you love.
