Jessica is a Physiotherapist with a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries, neck pain, headaches, and running injuries.
My experience includes working with orthopaedic surgeons in South African hospitals, particularly in managing patients undergoing procedures like hip and knee replacements, as well as trauma cases involving fractures and ligament reconstruction surgeries.
I am passionate about tendinopathies and assisting with an exercise plan to safely support return to sports and training while recovering from tendon injuries. As a middle-distance runner and marathon competitor, I am particularly keen on treating running injuries.
While skilled in treating a variety of injuries, I have a special interest in neck pain, headaches and temporo-mandibular disorders.
I am currently doing a research project for my MSc on the management of neck pain.
Being a passionate advocate for optimal movement, I use my Pilates qualification to create tailored rehabilitation programmes. I am also a qualified Women’s Health Physiotherapist, trained in Mummy MOT and Pilates during pregnancy and beyond.
I don’t currently do internal pelvic assessments, but I work closely alongside my women’s health team members when needed to further guide exercise and rehab advice for pelvic floor issues. I have a strong passion for helping new mothers return to safe movement and exercise during pregnancy and post-partum.
I am recognised for my hard-working, enthusiastic, and approachable nature. I take pride in empowering patients to take control of their well-being through a holistic approach to treatment.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities and relaxing by reading and painting.
