Natasha is a Physiotherapist with extensive experience in elite rugby and female athletic performance, integrating strength training and rehabilitation to enhance recovery and prevent injury.
I am a specialist MSK Physiotherapist from The Wirral, England with an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath. After graduating from Cardiff University in 2014, I began my career as a Sports Physiotherapist. In the UK, I gained experience with professional rugby teams, including Bristol Bears and Worcester Warriors, before becoming Head of Medicine at Swindon Town Football Club.
In 2018, I moved to New Zealand, expanding my expertise with athletes across various sports in both private practice and elite settings. I take an evidence-based approach to patient care, which I enhanced through research for my MSc on injury incidence and the menstrual cycle. This led to an honorary position as a Research Member at the Auckland University Sports Performance Institute.
My passion lies in working with female athletes, sparked during my time playing elite rugby in the English and Welsh Premiership, where I earned representative honours for both England and Ireland. This led to becoming Head Physio for North Harbour Women’s Rugby in New Zealand, where I deepened my focus on optimising female athletic performance.
I am also an avid sportswoman, having competed in powerlifting and CrossFit in both the UK and New Zealand. This interest has deepened my knowledge of strength training and its role in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
I hold an ASCA Level 1 certification to support my work in this area. Recently, I’ve taken up trail running and open water swimming—though the latter is definitely less appealing in the UK! I believe my passion for sport enhances my professional work, offering valuable insights that benefit the athletes I work with.
I have worked in both professional sport and private practice in England and New Zealand treating a wide variety of injuries and patients.
