Sinead Delaney 2022
Biography

Sinead has been an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner since 2014 upon completing her MSc Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College London and has been working in sports rehabilitation since 2003

The impact of pain and dysfunction can significantly impact a person. Sinead is incredibly passionate about helping others achieve what they wish to do and this is born of her own experience. Her father, who was a self-employed carpenter, severely hurt his shoulder putting a huge fire out, which stopped him working for nearly a year. She recalls the significant strain this put on him and her family. This was definitely the beginning of a journey for her and has been the prime motivator for her career.

Sinead began specialising in shoulder pain and instability in 2012. She has been a placement tutor for students studying their MSc in Physiotherapy and guest lectures at Queen Mary’s University London on the Sports Medicine MSc. Sinead sits on the professional development committee for the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapist since 2014, a group who are committed to musculoskeletal excellence.

Sinead published her first research paper in 2010, a second research project was presented internationally in 2015 on rotator cuff related shoulder pain and is involved in research about shared decision making in 2024. She also enjoys treating elbow and neck pain, and even more importantly managing people’s overall well-being.
