Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine

Pure Sports Medicine has a developed a high reputation for the delivery of first-class Sport and Exercise Medicine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine.

This role is appropriate for a fully qualified Doctor, registered with the General Medical Council.

A successful candidate would become a key member of a highly effective and established multi-disciplinary team including; consultants, physiotherapists, osteopaths, podiatrists, soft tissue therapist, strength and conditioning coaches, an exercise physiologist and dietician.

The posts are permanent and are appropriate for individuals on the specialist register in Sport, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine (SEM) or within 6 months of obtaining a CCT in SEM. Applicants must have MRCP, MRCGP or equivalent and be Fellows of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK).

The main duties will be to provide SEM and musculoskeletal medicine in a team environment managing secondary and tertiary referrals. Excellent team-working skills are required. Comprehensive clinical experience in SEM and musculoskeletal medicine is expected with skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound examination and guided injection highly desirable.
