Group Bone Health Pilates - Virtual

A small, virtual Pilates class with a high component of weight bearing and stability. Safe for all abilities, whether you are a beginner or advanced. The class focuses on: balance and muscle strength; bone health; spine and joint mobility, following the Royal Osteoporosis Society guide lines.

The goals and benefits of this class are as follows:

  • Increasing spinal extensors strength
  • Balance training
  • Increasing lower limb muscle strength
  • Load-bearing to slow bone loss rate
  • Upper limb strengthening
  • Increasing postural awareness and local postural muscle endurance
  • Safely increasing spinal mobility
  • Increasing confidence in exercising
  • Education regarding safe and effective exercise for bone health
