Simon is a Physiotherapist specialising in patellofemoral pain and hip and foot biomechanics.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I have developed my skills and knowledge to specialise in Sports and Exercise Medicine. I am a Consultant Physiotherapist who has worked at Pure Sports Medicine for more than 13 years, caring for people who have been affected by a variety of different injuries. I am now the HEad of Research at Pure, helping to continue to drive our culture of evidence-informed medicine.
My journey into academia began with my MSc and then a PhD at QMUL, where I researched how hip and foot movements affect knee pain. I now lead the MSc programme in Sports and Exercise Medicine at QMUL. I also support the medical provision for the London Lions basketball team and the High-Performance Sport Programme at the University of East London.
My goal is to help you recover quickly and safely, using the latest research and treatment approaches. Whether you’re dealing with a sports injury or chronic pain, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I have worked in a variety of different settings both in the UK and abroad. These experiences have included; Otago National 7’s Rugby Team & One on One Physiotherapy – New Zealand, Six Physio – Harley Street and BMI London Independent Hospital & Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS.
I have presented research findings at Sports Medicine conferences to both national and international audiences, published in several of the highest-ranking journals in the field of Sports Medicine, and continue to lead the Sports & Exercise Medicine Masters programme at Queen Mary University and London
