Gabrielle is a highly experienced podiatrist specialising in musculoskeletal, biomechanical and sports health. As a national level athlete for over 10 years Gabrielle gained a deep appreciation of the importance of the early diagnosis and treatment of sports related biomechanical injuries. This early interest in therapeutic treatment and pain management led to her specific interest in the identification and management of lower leg disorders. As a first class graduate from Southampton University, Gabrielle maintained a specific focus on musculoskeletal complaints especially where these are the result of sporting injuries. Gabrielle augmented her podiatric practice by completing her MSC in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London achieving the Euripedes prize for the best research project.
Gabrielle joins Pure Sports Medicine from Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust where she was Service lead for Biomechanical Podiatry. In addition to her work at the NHS Gabrielle has worked at Crystal Palace Sports Physio Group, The Foot Health Company and has supported a number of sporting events as a volunteer podiatrist including the London Marathon. Gabrielle has specialist knowledge in biomechanics, offloading and has undertaken published research into the effect of orthotics on an individual’s centre of pressure.
In her spare time Gabrielle can often be found participating in gym classes, running or distance swimming in her local pool.
