Emily Martin
Introduction

Following my grandfathers diagnosis of cancer, I decided to move on from working in elite sport and pursue my passion for helping people like my own Pa. Enabling patients to work towards and achieve their goals no matter how big or small, is my favourite part of being an Exercise Physiologist.

Emily is a Exercise Physiologist with a passion for integrating reformer Pilates, resistance training, and aerobic training into personalised programmes.

I have been heavily involved with the healthcare and fitness industry for over nine years.

After retiring from playing semi-professional basketball, I continued working within high performance sport, coaching teams to national championships and working as an intern Physiologist to prepare Australian swimmers for the Tokyo Olympic trials.

I have a true passion for helping people and sharing my knowledge to improve every individual’s health, wellbeing and longevity.

Alongside my degrees, I worked as a Swim Instructor for five years where I taught children from 3 years old to adults 60+, which taught me the skills I have today in building rapport with everyone I work with.

My one mantra is to ensure that after every single session, patient’s walk out with a smile on their face and feel a sense of accomplishment.

I enjoy working with people living with chronic disease – in particular, neurological, metabolic, cardiovascular and mental health. I am committed to creating enjoyable, challenging and personalised exercise programmes that will achieve my patients’ goals.
