Jennie Longbottom is the former Chair of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and a Member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). Jennie provides a standard of postgraduate education to Physiotherapists that meets with CSP, HPC and CPD requirements. She published an excellent book, Acupuncture in Manual Therapy in 2010, to which two Pure Sports Medicine clinicians have contributed and has published in the BMJ’s Acupuncture in Medicine with one of Pure Sports Medicine’s clinicians as the lead author. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in 2009.

Pure Sports Medicine are very please to ask Jennie to conduct this course again in 2016 after several previous successful courses. Several members of our team have attended each course and found it hugely beneficial to their clinical practice. Jennie teaches safe and effective needling for pain management as well as dry needling for trigger points; with a particular focus on evidence based musculoskeletal practise.

The course will be run in three parts over 5 days and involves clinical practice in the period between. Delegates must attend all parts (5 days) and complete all the assessment elements to pass the course. All participants must be willing to give and receive needling throughout the course days.
