Biography

Gemma Skudder is a sports physiotherapist known for her expertise in managing and rehabilitating injuries. With a career spanning over 12 years, Gemma has dedicated herself to helping people and athletes of all levels achieve optimal performance and recovery.

Gemma treat’s a wide range of injuries and see’s all musculoskeletal injuries, however she has a special interest in thoracic outlet, concussion, hamstring injuries and wrist and hand injuries. 

Gemma completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Keele and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy from Bath. Throughout her career, Gemma has worked with a variety of sports teams and elite athletes, providing tailored treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, exercise prescription, and cutting-edge evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Her experience includes working with professional football clubs, Olympic athletes and national sports teams. 

Gemma’s commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing education and her passion for sports medicine is evident in her active involvement in research and contributions to conferences. She is also a dedicated CSP mentor, guiding the next generation of physiotherapists through clinical supervision and teaching roles.

Beyond her clinical practice, Gemma is an advocate for injury prevention and athlete well-being. She lectures and provides workshops and seminars, educating coaches, athletes and the public on best practices for training and managing injuries.
